Desk Stretches for Office Workers
Whether you’re working from home or the office, sitting in front of a computer screen for eight hours a day can take a toll on your body. It can lead to back pain, headaches and tension in your neck and shoulders. Luckily, taking just a few minutes out of your day to stretch can help offset some of these effects. Here are four quick and easy stretches to incorporate into your workday.

Shoulder Shrug
Raise your shoulders toward your ears and hold for three to five seconds. Drop your shoulders and repeat two to three times.
Chest Opener
Stand up straight and interlace your fingers behind your head. Pull your shoulder blades toward each other to create a feeling of tension through the upper back and shoulder blades. Hold for eight to ten seconds.
Head Tilt
Stand up straight and interlace your fingers behind your head. Pull your shoulder blades toward each other to create a feeling of tension through the upper back and shoulder blades. Hold for eight to ten seconds.
Head Twist
From an aligned, seated position, turn your chin toward your right shoulder to create a stretch on the left side of your neck. Hold for 10 to 20 seconds. Bring your head back to center and turn your chin toward your left shoulder. Repeat twice on each side.
